Enhancing the Status of South Korean Manufacturing

In recent years, the rapid advancement of robotics and smart mobility has significantly transformed the power transmission market across industries. In particular, speed reducers play a crucial role in these high-tech sectors, and the expansion of the robotics industry and the popularization of smart mobility are driving the demand for power transmission components such as gears and reducers.

Amid this industry growth, EasternGear is emerging as a standout company with differentiated gear processing and manufacturing expertise. EasternGear specializes in designing and manufacturing high-efficiency, high-power globoid worm reducers using an all-in-one production approach.

Notably, EasternGear’s flagship product, the globoid worm reducer, features a simultaneous surface contact mechanism, unlike conventional point-contact methods, offering superior efficiency and durability. This manufacturing technology increases the contact area between the worm gear and worm wheel, maximizing power transmission efficiency while minimizing wear. As a result, its lifespan is more than three times longer than that of standard gears. Leveraging this unique technological advantage, EasternGear provides customized globoid worm gear manufacturing solutions tailored to diverse customer needs.

With a focus on global expansion, EasternGear participated in Manufacturing World Tokyo 2024 in June and the SIA (Shanghai International Industrial Automation and Robot Exhibition) in July. Through these international exhibitions, EasternGear showcased its precision machining technology and innovative reducer products, solidifying its presence in the global market.

Yoo-Hyun Kwak, CEO of EasternGear, stated, “EasternGear will continue to strengthen its global competitiveness through ongoing research, development, and quality improvements, striving to establish itself as a leading industrial gear manufacturer representing South Korea and contributing to the advancement of the country’s manufacturing sector.” He also revealed that "to support business expansion and overseas market entry, the company is in the process of securing a Series A investment of approximately 4 billion KRW."
