EasternGear has been verified for its growth potential as a unicorn company with its excellence in technology. Selected for the “Gyeongsangbuk-do Preliminary Unicorn Growth Support Project” hosted by the Province of Gyeongsangbuk and the Gyeongbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center. We strive to uphold our unicorn company by representing the region by expanding the Globoid Worm Gear and Robotics industry into new global markets.

EasternGear's New Project: EPG COBOT🤖

EasternGear has started physical testing of our globoid worm gear joint drives for collaborative robot systems, or cobots. In the video below, you'll witness our tests, starting from 10 kg (22 lbs.) and gradually increasing to 40 kg (88 lbs.).

In the video, EasternGear's reducer joint lifts 40 kg (88 lbs.) smoothly and with consistent repeatability even after a short running-in period. We plan to further increase the payload to over 40 kg incrementally to determine the system's maximum capacity.

EasternGear remains on track to have the cobot ready for deployment before the year's end, with market availability expected in 2024.

26th Annual Exhibition of Manufacturing World

in Osaka 2023

From the 4th to the 6th of October, EasternGear participated in the 26th Manufacturing World Osaka at the INTEX Osaka exhibition center. We proudly showcased gear sets of various sizes, with center distances ranging from 17mm (0.67 inches) to 135mm (5.3 inches). Visitors to our booth were highly impressed by the versatility and reliability of these innovative gears, which represent a significant advancement in efficiency and precision for mechanical power transmission. To facilitate a closer examination of the gear sets, we provided magnifying glasses, allowing attendees to scrutinize the wheel teeth and shaft threads.

The event provided an excellent platform to share our expertise with fellow industry professionals and enthusiasts. In addition to our exhibition, the EasternGear team took the opportunity to explore the INTEX venue and gain valuable insights into the precision machinery and robotics industry.
