Successfully Host the “2024 Robot World Super-Gap Robot IR Event”

The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Global Technology Commercialization Center (hereafter KAIST GCC) announced that, in collaboration with the Korea Robot Industry Association (KAR), it successfully held the “Robot Startup Innovation Day (Super-Gap Robot IR Event)” on the event stage during “2024 Robot World,” which ran for four days from Wednesday the 23rd to Saturday the 26th at KINTEX Hall 1 in Ilsan.

At the event, nine companies that passed the first round of screenings gave their second-round presentations on-site. Among them, four companies specializing in super-gap robotics—Polaris 3D, DAIM Research, Seoul Dynamics, and EasternGear—were ultimately selected.

As a result of the presentations, Polaris 3D claimed the Grand Prize, receiving both a cash award and a complimentary booth at the “2025 Robot World.” Following that, DAIM Research won the Top Excellence Award, Seoul Dynamics received the Excellence Award, and EasternGear took home the Encouragement Award, achieving outstanding recognition.

A representative from KAIST GCC commented, “We are delighted that this event allowed us to broadly showcase the exceptional technological capabilities of super-gap robot companies,” and added, “We will continue to actively support the creation of global technology commercialization outcomes for super-gap projects through a variety of technology commercialization programs, including IR events.”

Meanwhile, during the 2024 Robot World, KAIST GCC operated a “Super-Gap Project Pavilion” booth. Since its establishment in 2015, KAIST GCC has engaged in a wide range of activities aimed at commercializing advanced technologies in key industrial sectors such as robotics, semiconductors, mobility, and biotechnology.
